Planning and organising parties can be super fun. For children’s birthday parties, in particular, you can really give full rein to your creativity and think up amazing themes. How about a car party, for example? With a home-made racetrack for model cars, a birthday cake in the shape of a car and a car photo booth for photos to remember it all? We think that sounds like a lot of fun. That’s why we, together with Volkswagen, have designed a possible invitation for a party like this. The invitation not only contains all the important information, but also a small gift for guests which the kids can even play with at the party.

Partys zu planen und zu organisieren kann super viel Spaß machen. Vor allem bei Kindergeburtstagen kann man sich kreativ austoben und sich großartige Mottos überlegen. Wie wäre es denn zum Beispiel mit einer Auto-Party? Mit einer selbstgebauten Rennstrecke für Modellautos, einem Geburtstagskuchen in Autoform und einer Auto-Photo-Booth für Erinnerungsfotos? Wir finden das klingt nach richtig viel Spaß. Deshalb haben wir gemeinsam mit Volkswagen eine mögliche Einladungskarte für eine solche Party gestaltet. Die Einladung enthält nicht nur alle wichtigen Infos, sondern auch gleich ein kleines Gastgeschenk, mit dem die Kids auf der Party direkt spielen können.

Einladung für Kindergeburtstag

Ihr braucht:
Kartonpapier (Weiß & Schwarz)
Filzstift (Weiß & Schwarz)
Schere
Klebstoff
Spielzeugauto
Washi-Tape
Bleistift

Invitation for children’s birthday party
You’ll need:
Cardboard (black and white)
Felt-tip pen (black and white)
Scissors
Glue
Toy car
Washi tape
Pencil

So geht’s:
Schneidet euch zunächst aus dem weißen Kartonpapier eine Karte aus. Wir haben unsere länglich gestaltet, damit alles gut Platz hat. Schneidet euch anschließend aus dem schwarzen Kartonpapier eine Straße aus. Diese muss nicht komplett gerade verlaufen, Straßen haben schließlich auch Kurven und Co. Zeichnet mit einem weißen Marker die Fahrbahnmarkierung auf und klebt die Straße mit etwas Klebstoff auf die Einladungskarte.

How to make the invitations:
First, cut a card out of the white cardboard. We designed ours in rectangular shape so that there’s plenty of space for everything. Then cut a road out of the black cardboard. It doesn’t have to be completely straight – after all, roads do have bends. With a white marker, draw the road markings and stick the road onto the invitation with a little glue.

Überlegt euch anschließend einen passenden Text und schreibt diesen mit einem schwarzen Filzstift auf die Einladung. Platziert aber vorab euer Spielzeugauto, natürlich ohne es zu befestigen, damit ihr sehen könnt, wo Platz für den Text ist. Sobald ihr den Einladungstext vorne fertig habt, könnt ihr hinten noch alle wichtigen Daten wie Uhrzeit, Ort und Datum vermerken. Bleibt am besten in der Rennfahrersprache.

Then think up some suitable text and write it with a black felt-tip pen on the invitation. Beforehand, place your toy car on it – without attaching it, of course – so that you can see where there is space for the text. As soon as you have finished the invitation text on the front, you can indicate all the important details such as the time, place and date on the back. It’s best to use racing-driver-style speech.

Sobald alle Infos auf der Einladung stehen, könnt ihr vorne das Modellauto mit einem passenden Washi-Tape befestigen. Wir haben uns für einen roten Flitzer von VW entschieden. Der Käfer sieht großartig aus und ist das perfekte Spielzeug für Kinder ab 3 Jahren. Viel Spaß beim Nachmachen und bei der Partyplanung! As soon as all the information is on the invitation, you can attach the model car on the front using suitable washi tape. We went for a red speedster by Volkswagen. The Beetle looks really great and is the perfect toy for children aged three and up. Have fun creating your own invitations and planning the party!
